Richard Childress Racing

Established in 1969 as a NASCAR race team, Richard Childress Racing has grown from humble beginnings out of a home garage into one of the most storied and accomplished race teams in motorsports. To stay ahead of the competition, we’ve developed a broad range of expertise by investing in front line technology and highly talented and experienced people.

RCR’s reputation was built on the backbone of its motorsports effort, but when you look past our weekend work we are really a component development and vertical manufacturer. Sure, we race on Sunday, but the other six days a week we apply our highly technical expertise to design management, engineering, fabrication, manufacturing and assembly. By integrating our broad technical competencies with a nimble manufacturing organization, we go from concept to finished product in timetables not available from typical organizations.

We can design, reverse engineer, prototype, and manufacture at volume a wide range of components across a variety of materials – carbon steel, alloy steel, stainless steel, aluminum, titanium, brass, carbon fiber, and fiberglass to name a few. We do all this at our on-site advanced manufacturing facility where our vertical process allows us to maintain the quality, consistency, durability, and repeatability through the entire project life cycle.

For almost 50 years, Richard Childress Racing has been building and racing cars at the elite levels of NASCAR. Starting with a $20 investment, Richard Childress grew the business to include 500,000 square feet with more than 425 employees. When working with companies outside of motorsports, the idea is simple: take our learned knowledge and ability from motorsports, and apply them to building parts and components for others. Our capabilities are vast, but our focus is narrow: to build the highest quality products to meet your needs.
